From text generation to document analysis, many organisations are experimenting with it, and its use is also growing rapidly within the non-profit sector.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yet practice shows an interesting pattern: many organisations now use AI regularly, but only a small proportion experience actual structural changes in their work. In many cases, AI mainly saves time, while the real impact on processes and decision-making is still limited. This is not surprising, as in many teams AI is mainly used as a loose tool for individual tasks, such as rewriting a text or summarising a report.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>From tool to the \u2018Agentic NGO\u2019<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The real value of AI only arises when technology is linked to existing processes and systems. Within organisations, we see the deployment of AI evolving. On the one hand, there are simple chatbots with set rules. One step further are \u2018copilots\u2019: smart assistants that support employees in a variety of tasks.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, the most significant shift is the arrival of AI agents through platforms such as <\/span><b>Agentforce<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This paves the way for the so-called \u2018<\/span><b>Agentic NGO<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018. In this model, non-profits work with specific agents, such as a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fundraising Agent<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or one <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Grantmaking Agent<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. These agents can independently plan, reason and execute actions based on data from your own CRM (Customer 360).<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-35844 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/twopurpose.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Screenshot-2026-04-10-120714.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1536\" height=\"426\" \/><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Practice: Start with processes<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For non-profits, there are great opportunities there, for example around relationship management, communication with volunteers or processing large volumes of documents. In practice, for example, we see how AI can successfully help in automatically checking incoming project applications for completeness. This reduces manual work and ensures more consistency in reviews.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35801\" src=\"https:\/\/twopurpose.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/AI-bij-goede-doelen_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"538\" height=\"348\" srcset=\"https:\/\/twopurpose.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/AI-bij-goede-doelen_2.jpg 538w, https:\/\/twopurpose.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/AI-bij-goede-doelen_2-300x194.jpg 300w, https:\/\/twopurpose.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/AI-bij-goede-doelen_2-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 538px) 100vw, 538px\" \/><\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An important lesson here is that AI does not start with the technology, but with the processes. A useful exercise is to first identify which day-to-day tasks (such as filing, incoming communication or reporting) take a lot of time. Only then look at where AI can help speed up those tasks.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Look for the \u2018Quick Wins\u2019<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You then map these processes onto a cross-section of axes. By ordering processes on <b>impact<\/b> (what does it deliver?) and <b>feasibility<\/b> (how easy is it to implement?), you immediately discover the so-called \u2018<b>Quick Wins<\/b>\u2018. These are the solutions at the top right of the matrix that add a lot of value and are easy to implement. They often turn out to be surprisingly practical applications.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35802\" src=\"https:\/\/twopurpose.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/AI-bij-goede-doelen_3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"378\" height=\"218\" srcset=\"https:\/\/twopurpose.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/AI-bij-goede-doelen_3.jpg 378w, https:\/\/twopurpose.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/AI-bij-goede-doelen_3-300x173.jpg 300w, https:\/\/twopurpose.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/AI-bij-goede-doelen_3-18x10.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 378px) 100vw, 378px\" \/><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Data, trust and small steps<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of course, for organisations with social impact, privacy, data security and transparency also play a crucial role, especially when working with sensitive donor data. A simple rule applies here: AI enhances what is already there. When your data is well organised, AI provides valuable insights. If the data is messy, AI compounds that problem. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The most successful organisations therefore start small. They improve one process or automate one concrete task, and build from there.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35803\" src=\"https:\/\/twopurpose.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/AI-bij-goede-doelen_4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"324\" height=\"272\" srcset=\"https:\/\/twopurpose.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/AI-bij-goede-doelen_4.jpg 324w, https:\/\/twopurpose.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/AI-bij-goede-doelen_4-300x252.jpg 300w, https:\/\/twopurpose.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/AI-bij-goede-doelen_4-14x12.jpg 14w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 324px) 100vw, 324px\" \/><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Technology as a silent force in Marketing and Service<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the coming years, AI will increasingly integrate seamlessly into the systems organisations already use. It thus directly helps save time for the things that really matter. Think, for example, of applications within the <\/span><b>Marketing Cloud<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, such as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">intelligent segmentation<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">optimisation of shipping times<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Also in the <\/span><b>Service Cloud<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> AI can speed up processes, for example by automatically creating a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">case summary<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (case summary) to generate a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">draft reply<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (draft reply) ready.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a result, technology is becoming less and less a visible, separate tool, and more and more a natural part of the way they work. The organisations that benefit most from it know how to effectively connect AI to their mission, processes and data.
