Dutch Foundation for Literature: Salesforce 2.0
The Dutch Foundation for Literature has been using Salesforce for some time. The Foreign Affairs department in particular knows the value of Salesforce appreciated for its powerful CRM functionality. The Salesforce platform is also used for the processes of translations of Dutch literature and for supporting Dutch authors in their work. TwoPurpose was asked by Mr Dick Broer, a man of letters himself, but also extremely well versed in Salesforce, to review the existing setup and come up with recommendations to get even more value out of the Salesforce platform. A great challenge: Dick himself had several ideas and plans, such as the use of communities in assessing applications - also, the overall use of Salesforce could be improved. Tim Slijp was asked as lead consultant. Tim has extensive experience in project management within Salesforce, making him the right consultant for this transformation.

User adoption
To gain support across the organisation, a number of workshops were planned in which all 40 staff of the Literature Fund participated in groups. The employees were involved in the plan of the new Salesforce release and were given the opportunity to share their wishes and ideas, concerns and challenges. This yielded many good suggestions and support for the transformation.
The Dutch Foundation for Literature has now gone live with the new version of Salesforce. A number of issues that have thus been addressed are: the processes in Salesforce now optimally support the work processes, more explanation has been added to the application so that the processes can be better followed (user adoption). There are now smarter forms so that requests enter Salesforce directly, requiring less administrative effort. There is dIrect insight for the advisory committee, eliminating the need to send paper via couriers. It is easier to draft letters and contracts through proper integration (using the Conga Composer app). And labels can now be printed at the touch of a button using a linked label printer. The entire Dutch Foundation for Literature organisation uses the platform with great pleasure!
