About Platform Zero Incidents

Platform Zero Incidents (PZI) is a safety platform for inland navigation. Data on incidents that happen on board are provided from the sector itself. Think of falls, fires or accidents involving chemicals being transported. PZI collects all this data in an anonymous database and draws lessons from it. Based on this, programmes and campaigns are set up to better inform people and reduce the number of incidents to 0.

From manual reporting to real-time insights

Kristel Reiling, programme manager at PZI says: "The way we used to work was that we had to make an Excel printout every month, edit all sorts of things in this and then we could get a report out of it."

How did the project go?

"We really took up this project together with TwoPurpose" Kristel explains, "for us, Salesforce was completely unknown. We didn't know what possibilities there were. We outlined our end goal and TwoPurpose identified all the intermediate steps and worked this out for us. They also came up with good suggestions of data that we also started including in the reporting. In the end, we got even more than we had asked for!" "Throughout the project, we kept getting the feeling that we are really a valuable client with a mission that TwoPurpose also wants to contribute to. Not 'we do work for money, but really the intention to help non-profits move forward.' That was very nice!"

What has Salesforce brought you?

By linking Salesforce to the existing database, the process now runs a lot smoother. Reports are preconfigured and can be run at the touch of a button. In addition, reports can be viewed in real-time, so the data is always up-to-date. Where previously an employee would spend hours doing analyses, Salesforce has completely taken over this process.

What opportunities does Salesforce open up?

“We are currently developing an API on Saleforce. This will allow our members to reliably, automatically report their incident data. Which will save time and reduce errors."
